Gerardo "Jerry" Fernando Nunez-dedicated husband, father of two, and friend of many-was taken away too soon on November 3, 2022 at the age of 32 in Casa Grande, Az.. He was and always will be immediately treasured.
Born to Martina Reyes and Gerardo F. Nunez on February 9, 1990 in Casa Grande, Jerry was an Arizona native. He graduated from Union High School and participated in ROTC and the tutoring of fellow students. An avid diesel and computer lover, he went on to study diesel technology and computer programming at Central Arizona College.
In April 2011, Jerry met his soulmate, Lora Nunez, and they married just five months later in September. Deeply in love and inseparable, they were blessed with twelve years and welcomed two precious boys into their lives. Throughout the years, Jerry enjoyed going fishing, getting his truck stuck in the mud, and taking long trips with his wife and kids every chance he got. Among some of their favorite places to visit together were the California beaches, Six Flags and numerous National Parks.
His talents led him to Cargill, where he spent the last nine years working as a maintenance technichian. There truly wasn't anything that Jerry couldn't do. He was a genius. He touched everybody's lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel so important and special. He showed up when it mattered, had your back, gave to those in need, and would defend and stand up for his loved ones. He kept us safe. Jerry was incredibly passionate about his work and had a bright future ahead of him. He was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lora Nunez; two sons, Braecius and Odin; mother, Martina Reyes; brothers Matthew Rodriguez and Natalio Reyes; sisters, Gabby Nunez and Natasha Reyes; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and the countless friends and lives he touched throughout his life.
A "Celebration of Life and Memorial Service" will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Compassus 1675 East Monument Plaza Circle, Casa Grande, Arizona. Family and Friends are invited to come and share cherished memories and stories.
