Janice "Jan" Kay Wellborn

Jan Wellborn, 80, passed away on the morning of October 14, 2022, at home with husband/best friend, Gary Wellborn at her side, married for 47 years on August 24, 2022.  They have been residents of Mesa, Az. since June 2019 coming from Westminster, Co.  They attended Church of The Master Presbyterian in Mesa, Az..

Jan was born in Torrington, Wyoming.  Her parents were Charles T. Craig and Eva (Hastings) Craig.  She graduated from South High School in Denver, Co. and within a few credits at The University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming in Home Economics.  Beginning in 1966 Jan worked at Villa Music, in Denver for most of the next 20 years.  After she and Gary went on a cruise, Jan started Travel School and worked as a Travel Agent until 2010, when she retired.  They loved to travel, especially cruising, going on about 30 of them, traveling to many places on this earth, enjoying the sights and each other's company.

Jan will be remembered for her wit, honesty, independence, inteligence, confidence, self respect, and to Gary, her undying love for him.  Gary and Jan loved each other's company, deciding early in the marriage to not have children.  They had so much fun together, it was a privilege and blessing to be able to share the good times, the bad times, the in between times, knowing their love wouldn't fade.

Jan is survived by her Brother, Charles T Craig II, of Newcastle, California and children; Matt Craig, Patty Lamb, Valerie Walker and Teri Serenbetz; Sister: Sonya Lee of El Cerrito, California and children:  Loree Lee and Ronald Lee.

Jan will be cremated and ashes will be returned home in Mesa, Arizona.  Celebration of Life plans are pending in Mesa, Arizona and Arvada, Colorado.
